Programs

The needs of each horse will vary. Pick the program that works best for you.
Short Term Turnout:
Horses who come to White Rock Manor for a short period of time are slowly introduced to small groups with the help of our tried and true "baby sitters". You may choose between field or stall board, depending on the length of your horse's stay. You may also choose to have your horse worked lightly or legged up at the end of its stay for an additional fee.
Retirement:

Horses who are retired at White Rock Manor are not simply placed in a field and forgotten. Regardless of whether or not your horse is on field or stall board, it will be physically checked twice each day and groomed twice each week. Retired horses will be protected from flies in the summer months with fans, spray, and masks and relieved of the heat with cool baths. In the winter months, they can be blanketed at the owner's request.

Field Board:

Horses on field board are exclusively turned out, but may be brought in for medical treatments or administered medications. They are worked into groups best suited to their personality and needs so that we can ensure each horse has access to resources. Field Board includes:

  • 24 hour supervision (all fields visible from staff housing)

  • Weekly update correspondence with photographs

  • Grooming 2 times each week

  • Deworming up to 4 times a year

  • Blanketing

  • Fly masks/spray

  • Square bale alfalfa hay provided year-round

  • Salt and minerals

  • Heated automatic waterers

  • Twice daily checks

Stall Board:
